Verizon has added a new smartphone to its 4G LTE lineup, the Spectrum 2 by LG. The new Android-powered device features a large 4.7-inch HD resolution display and offers wireless charging to users.

One of the main attractions of the Spectrum 2 is the device's special battery cover, which allows users to wirelessly charge their devices. The phone also sports a massive 4.7-inch True IPS LCD HD display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution that offers enhanced viewing of videos and movies backed up by Verizon's speedy 4G LTE data network.

The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Krait 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. The Spectrum 2 comes with 16GB of internal storage and up to 32GB of microSD card support. An 8 megapixel camera on the back features autofocus, LED flash, and 1080p HD video capture. There is also a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video chats.

The LG Spectrum 2 runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and offers Bluetooth 4.0, mobile hotspot support for up to ten devices, and NFC(INFO) capabilities. Verizon Wireless is offering the device online and in stores now for $99.99, with a new two-year service agreement, after a $50 mail-in rebate.
