According to the search giant, Google's Play Store, previously known as the Android Market, now offers over 700,000 apps to its Android smartphone and tablet users. The reported milestone comes on the heels of yesterday's unveiling of Google's new Nexus 4 smartphone, the new Nexus 10 tablet, and an updated Nexus 7 tablet. Google is gaining much needed traction against rival Apple, which announced in September that it had also passed the 700k app threshold.source: Bloomberg
