AT&T has announced the official release date and price for the LG Optimus G, the first phone with a quad-core processor released in the United States. The carrier says it will sell the LG Optimus G for $199 on a two-year agreement on November 2. Pre-orders for the device will be available here beginning October 16. LG has already announced the specifications for the Optimus G, which has a 4.7-inch IPS+ display, 2GB of RAM, a 13 megapixel camera, and a quad-core 1.5GHz processor. AT&T will launch the Optimus G with Android 4.0, though the company has not confirmed if or when it will update the phone to Android 4.1.
