Google has updated its Google+ apps for Android and Apple iOS to support several new features, including the ability for Google+ Page owners to view, post, and comment on a mobile device. Page administration has been a coveted feature since Google allowed brands to create Google+ profiles, so owners can finally interact with followers from a mobile device. Users can install the new app, sign-out, and then log-in to select a list of pages or their personal account to use for posts. Switching accounts isn't as elegant as it is in other apps, but this is the first time Google+ has offered that option.
The Android and iOS versions of Google+ added a few other features. Android users should notice a new widget that shows posts from a specific circle. Users can respond to the posts by adding comments or sharing to circles, or tap an arrow to skip to the next post. It also added a new Find People option to recommend people to add to your Google+ circles. The iOS app has neither feature, but it did gain the ability to edit posts from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. The app is also updated to support iOS 6 and the iPhone 5, so the app should now perform better and scale appropriately for the newer iPhone's larger screen.
