Leap Wireless and T-Mobile announced in April that the two companies planned to exchange spectrum in several markets. The deal finalized today with Leap gaining 10 MHz of AWS spectrum in Phoenix, Houston, Galveston, and Bryan-College Station, Texas. T-Mobile gained spectrum in several parts of Alabama, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The two companies also exchanged spectrum in Atlantic City, Philadelphia, Wilmington, and various markets in New Mexico and Texas. The airwave swaps should allow Leap, under its Cricket brand, and T-Mobile to improve their respective networks in several markets.source: Leap
