Sparrow, the popular Mac and iOS email client acquired by Google in July, will issue an update to make the app more compatible with the Apple iPhone 5. Though the app is currently usable under Apple's letterbox-style treatment of apps that don't fit the new resolution of the iPhone 5, Sparrow co-founder Dominique Leca says the app will soon update to more naturally display on the full-screen of the device. The Sparrow members joined the Gmail product team when Google acquired the company, so the upcoming update is likely to be a rare occurrence of a non-bug-fix update to the app.
