Three popular apps for watching television episodes on mobile devices have updated today to enable closed captioning. Following similar updates for iOS apps last week, the Android apps for Cinemax, HBO, and Hulu Plus now make it possible to read on-screen text of what characters are saying just as easily it is to hear it. The captioning is available in multiple languages on compatible phones. The apps also added the option to share videos to Facebook and Twitter, so users can reveal what shows they are watching to others.
