Some users in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa have been unable to use some services on their RIM BlackBerry devices today. RIM has been unable to pinpoint the cause of the outage, but the company has acknowledged that there is a problem and announced that it is now investigating how it can restore service to affected users. The outage comes nearly a year after a worldwide system failure disrupted BlackBerry communication services for millions of users. It is also an embarrassing incident because it occurs as the Apple iPhone 5 has debuted as an instant hit, a feat that RIM has not accomplished in several years.source: Globe & Mail
