Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced that the App Store now has more than 700,000 apps available for download on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. Cook revealed that of the 700,000 apps available, more than 250,000 are apps made specifically for the iPad. He called the App Store "The Most Vibrant App Ecosystem on the Planet" when he noted that 90 percent of apps are downloaded every month. The average customer uses more than 100 apps on an iPhone or iPad. Apple remains ahead of all rivals in terms of app store titles and downloads.
