C-Spire Wireless has officially launched its 4G LTE network. The regional carrier now delivers LTE service to customers in the McComb and Greenville areas of Mississippi. A second wave of launches will soon expand the network to Brookhaven, Meridian, and six communities in Lee and Prentiss counties. This will be followed by more waves until the entire state of Mississippi and portions of Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee are also supported. Dates are not yet available, but a list of the areas in each wave can be viewed here.
The launch of an LTE network has also led to an expanded device portfolio. C-Spire has announced today that it has begun selling the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE, the first LTE-capable device on its network. The Photon Q 4G LTE, previously seen on Sprint, sells for $199.99 on a two-year agreement. C-Spire also confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S III is the next LTE phone coming soon to its network. The Galaxy S III will go on sale by the end of September.
