Music streaming service Pandora has given its Android app a long-overdue redesign. The revamped app now follows the Android user interface guidelines set by Google, and is much easier to navigate. The app has changed its appearance to have a white and blue theme, larger album covers, and easier-to-reach playback controls.
Cosmetics aside, the new Pandora Android app also adds more information for each song and artist played. The app can minimize album art to reveal artist biography, similar artists and songs, and the attributes that made the current song relevant to the radio station. It also lists song lyrics when available.
Pandora says that it has fixed unnamed bugs and added enhancements. The latest version is a big improvement compared to the previous design used for several months. Search, playback, and navigation should all be more stable.
