Dunkin' Donuts has released mobile apps to make it easy for customers to pay for their coffee and donut habits. In addition to finding the nearest locations and describing menu items, the Dunkin' Donuts apps can pay for a customer's order. Once the user links a debit or credit card to a DD payment card, the app displays a barcode that the cashier scans to accept payment. Users can also send mobile gifts through email, text, or Facebook, so friends can use a similar purchase process. The Dunkin' Donuts app accepts payments through American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or PayPal.
