ESPN now permits Comcast customers to access its WatchESPN Android app. Though iOS users have been able to stream ESPN content since May, the Android app wasn't updated to authenticate Comcast customers until today.
Any Comcast/Xfinity customer with a cable package including ESPN can now use WatchESPN on an Android 2.3.3 or higher device. The app provides live streams of ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN3, and ESPNU broadcasts. That enables users to see live NBA, MLS, EPL, and college sports broadcasts on their phone or tablet.
Only a handful of television providers have deals with ESPN that authorize WatchESPN. Comcast joins Bright House, Time Warner, and Verizon FiOS as the only companies whose customers can use the app. Download the app and enter your Xfinity credentials in order to start watching live TV.
