After a long delay, the HTC Rezound is officially getting updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich today.

Since yesterday evening, users at multiple Android forums have reported receiving prompts to install Ice Cream Sandwich through an over-the-air update. This morning, Verizon Wireless officially announced that the update is available. The carrier revealed that the following features will be enabled once users install Ice Cream Sandwich:

* Launch Bar to drag apps, shortcuts, and folders on home screen
* Swipe away specific notifications or access notification drawer from lock screen
* Face Unlock
* Data monitoring warnings and caps
* Swipe to multitask and switch between apps
* Improved voice input for speech to text
* Enabled Wireless Alerting system
* Improved Mobile Hotspot feature

Rezound users can follow these instructions to begin the download process.
