Gmail for iOS gains ability to save picture attachments, smoother performance

The official Gmail app for iOS has been updated to support a simple way to save picture attachments. Users can now touch and hold a picture attachment to save it to a photo library. Gmail also received unspecified bug fixes and smoother animation when scrolling on an iPhone or iPod Touch.
