Sony has corrected a statement made by one of its UK product managers that claimed specific Sony smartphones would not see upgrades to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The company says that it is still in the evaluation process for its Android 4.1 upgrade plans, and that no specific models have been ruled out just yet. Unfortunately, the company has yet to confirm that any of its devices will indeed be upgraded, so it appears that the whole situation is still up in the air. Meanwhile, however, Sony says that it plans to announce more information concerning the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Xperia P and other 2012 Sony devices in the coming weeks.source: Sony, via: The Verge
