AT&T announced today the Pantech Renue, a new quick messaging device made from recyclable materials.

The Pantech Renue features a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display and a four-row slide-out QWERTY keyboard. AT&T says that the phone is constructed from 67-percent recyclable materials and that the packaging it comes in is made from 95-percent recycled paper and printed with soy inks. The Renue also features a 3 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities.

In addition to its eco-friendly features, the Renue has a 810G Military Spec rating for resistance to sand, dust, temperature extremes, humidity, vibration, and solar radiation. The phone runs Qualcomm's BREW MP software, includes customizable home screens, and has a lock screen with shortcuts to commonly-used apps.

AT&T is offering the Pantech Renue for $69.99 with a new two-year contract now.
