MetroPCS announced today the Huawei Activa 4G, a new 4G LTE smartphone running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Activa 4G is the first Huawei device with LTE to be launched in the U.S.

The Activa 4G sports a 3.5-inch HVGA (320 x 480 pixel) display, and is equipped with two cameras: a 5 megapixel rear unit with LED flash, and a front-facing VGA camera for video chat. It is powered by an 800MHz single-core processor and comes with a 4GB microSD card pre-installed.

MetroPCS is selling the Huawei Activa 4G now for $149 after rebate.
