After a longer-than-expected wait thanks to some issues with the U.S. Customs department, the HTC EVO 4G LTE is now available for purchase from Sprint. Available online and in stores, the EVO 4G LTE runs $199.99 with a new two-year contract.
The phone was originally scheduled to launch on May 18, but it was held up by customs officials as they determined if it was in violation of Apple's patents or not. Fortunately for Sprint and HTC, the phone was cleared by customs and shipments were eventually allowed into the country. Sprint was able to fulfill pre-orders for the device on May 24, but today it becomes widely available across the carrier's sales channels.
