Lenovo has unveiled the IdeaPad S2109, a new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet that will soon be available in the U.S. The S2109 features a familiar 9.7-inch display and is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor.
The IdeaPad S2109 is nice and light at only 590g (1.3lbs), and its 9.7-inch IPS screen features 768 x 1024 pixels of resolution. The dual-core processor is an aging TI OMAP unit, but the S2109 does come with 1GB of RAM and up to 32GB of internal storage. Lenovo says the internal battery is good for up to 10 hours of use between charges, and there is a full complement of ports along the edges of the tablet, including micro-USB, micro-HDMI, and a slot for microSD cards. The S2109 also features four speakers on the back side for pseudo surround-sound experience.
Lenovo is pricing the IdeaPad S2109 aggressively, as it will hit shelves with a $349 starting price. Buyers can expect to pick one up from Lenovo directly or at Office Depot next month.Lenovo, via: Engadget
