This week, a new untethered (meaning you don't have to plug the device into the computer each time you restart it) jailbreak tool was released for devices running iOS 5.1.1. Developed by the Chronic-Dev Team and iPhone Dev Team, the Absinthe 2.0 tool will jailbreak most iOS devices, including the Apple iPhone 4S, new Apple iPad, and the latest generation iPod touch.. The only notable iOS device that it doesn't yet work with is the 2012 version of the iPad 2, which features a different processor than the 2011 model. Head over to the source link to check out the instructions on how to jailbreak your iOS device using the tool, and, as always, be aware that you could do irreparable harm to your phone or tablet if you mess something up while attempting to jailbreak it.source: GreenPois0n.com, via: iMore
