Google has updated its Chrome Beta for Android web browser for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphones and tablets with a few new features and expanded global availability. The browser is now available in 31 new languages, and it can be downloaded in every country that the Google Play Store is available. New features include the ability to request desktop versions of sites, add bookmarks as shortcuts to a home screen, choose which apps will handle links opened by Chrome, and the ability to use Chrome with the system proxy configured in the main Android Settings app. Chrome Beta for Android is free and available in the Google Play Store now for devices with Android 4.0 or higher.
