Google has updated Currents, its Flipboard competitor for Android and iOS, to version 1.1, adding performance enhancements and availability for users across the world. The new version features baked-in support for Google Translate, and can translate content to one of 38 languages. It also features background syncing of articles, as well as offline storage. Google Currents 1.1 is free and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or the iTunes App Store now.
