The ASUS Padfone, the company's idea for integrating a smartphone, tablet, and laptop experience into one device, will become a reality for Taiwanese shoppers on April 20. It won't come cheap, however, as ASUS says the asking price for the entire suite, including phone, tablet, laptop dock, and Bluetooth stylus will be 28,901 TWD (US$980).
Of course, you can buy each component separately, but where is the fun in that? The phone alone will cost 17,990 TWD (US$610), while the phone, tablet, and Bluetooth stylus set will cost 24,980 TWD (US$850. Anxious buyers can place pre-orders now.
ASUS says that it will launch the Padfone in Germany, Hong Kong, and Singapore next, but it has not specifically said when that will happen. A North American launch has not yet been announced. [via The Verge]
