Instagram, the immensely popular photography and social networking app for the iPhone, is making its long-awaited debut on the Android platform today. Already boasting over 30 million users on iOS, Instagram for Android has probably been one of the most anticipated apps to hit the platform.

Instagram for Android carries over all of the beloved filters and features that have made the iPhone version so popular. Users can quickly snap a photo, add a custom effect, and then share it to Instagram's network, as well as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Foursquare (Instagram says that Flickr sharing is coming real soon).

The app supports Android 2.2 Froyo or higher, can utilize both the front and rear cameras on devices, and allows users to browse Instagram feeds to like and comment on their friend's photos. You can download Instagram for Android for free from the Google Play Store now.
