Japan's number one mobile carrier, NTT DoCoMo, has announced the termination of its agreement with Fujitsu, Fujitsu Semiconductor, NEC Corporation, Panasonic Mobile Communications, and Samsung Electronics to produce processors for mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. The agreement was signed in December of last year with the condition that the resulting joint venture be formed by March 2012. Since an agreement wasn't made between the companies, NTT DoCoMo dissolved the plan. The carrier had committed to investing $5.8 million into the proposed joint venture.source: NTT DoCoMo
