Nokia Lumia owners have had a bragging point over their Windows Phone toting brethren for some time thanks to Nokia's excellent Drive navigation service, which offers offline navigation. Now, HTC Windows Phone users have something close to that with the updated HTC Locations app.
Locations is not a full-fledged navigation service like Nokia Drive, but it does offer downloadable maps and some offline functionality. It also provides turn-by-turn voice guided navigation for both walking and driving.
The app lets users share their favorite locations with others with attached photos, voice notes, and written notes. HTC Locations is available now for free to HTC Windows Phone users in the HTC section of the Windows Phone Marketplace. [via Engadget]
