Isis, the upcoming mobile payments initiative from Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile USA, and AT&T, has gained the support of numerous point of sale terminal makers, including VeriFone, Ingenico, ViVOtech, and Equinox Payments. The companies will integrate Isis-compatible NFC systems into their registers and terminals. These partnerships will allow Isis users to pay for goods and services with their mobile phones at retail locations across the country. Isis is set to launch by the middle of this year.
