Sony announced two new members of its NXT family at Mobile World Congress 2012: the Xperia P and Xperia U. The Xperia P sports a 4-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA technology and Sony's new WhiteMagic tech that is said to greatly improve outdoor visibility. It has an aluminum body and is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor. The smaller Xperia U has a 3.5-inch display and dual-core 1GHz processor, though it lacks the new WhiteMagic feature. Both phones run Android 2.3 Gingerbread with upgrades to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich promised for after their launch. They are expected to hit shelves in Q2 2012.
