Today cloud storage company Box and enterprise messaging developer Good Technology announced the release of a secure, enterprise-friendly version of the Box remote storage application for Apple iOS devices.
The Good Technology secured version of the Box iOS application was developed through the use of Good's Good Dynamics platform. Good Dynamics ensures that an application's local storage and data connections remain encrypted and secure while still providing users with full functionality. In the event that a device is lost or stolen, or that an employee is let go from the company, IT administrators can then use Good's software to remotely remove the application and any access to the enterprise's data without touching other user data on the phone, such as photos and music.
In this way, Good allows developers to make enterprise-friendly apps that can be easily deployed on an employee's personal device, without risking that its data fall into the wrong hands.
The Box for Good Technology application should be available in the Apple iTunes App Store no later than tomorrow, February 23, 2012.
