Google released an update to its Google+ app for the Android platform today, promising performance enhancements and new features. Unfortunately, the app still looks awful on Android tablets running Android 3.x Honeycomb or 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, as there is a sea of white space and poor use of the larger screen real estate. The tablet complaints aside, the updated app now lets users see who +1'd a post or comment, provides access to the new What's Hot! stream, and offers other navigation enhancements. The updated Google+ app can be downloaded for free from the Android Market now.
