Streaming music service Rdio released a new version of its app for Android smartphones today that includes an all new interface and support for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Rdio offers a service similar to Spotify, but it boasts even deeper social integration. Users have access to Rdio's library of over 12 million songs that they can stream to their devices at any time, or download for offline playback. The new Android app features easier access to collections and playlists, recommendations based on music history, new music available every week, and the ability to browse other Rdio users' profiles. In addition, the app now supports the latest version of Google's OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Rdio app for Android is free to download from the Android Market, but use of it requires a Rdio Unlimited subscription. New users can sign up for 7 days of free Unlimited service before committing to a subscription.
