Verizon Wireless has released a software update for the Casio G'zOne Commando rugged smartphone that adds the ability to make push-to-talk phone calls. Owners will be able to take advantage of Verizon's PTT services at no additional monthly charge (PTT usually costs $4.99 per month in addition to a voice plan). Additionally, the update replaces the V CAST video app with the newer Verizon Video app, and addresses performance issues and bugs in the device. Users should get a notification on their Commandos when the software update is ready to be downloaded and installed.
