Unheard of battery life, strong physical design, nice qHD display, blazing LTE speeds
Runs hot, non-swappable battery, not as sexy as the original DROID RAZR

Summary

Motorola's DROID RAZR MAXX is a 4G LTE-capable Android smartphone that is almost identical to the original DROID RAZR for Verizon Wireless. Except for its massive 3300mAh battery, that is. While still measuring a svelte 8.9mm in thickness, the RAZR MAXX can boast over 20 hours of continuous talk time and can power users through a full day of heavy LTE data use.

No other smartphone on the market can make those claims right now.

Apart from the battery life, though, the MAXX still has a solid spec sheet that includes a dual-core processor, a qHD resolution 4.3-inch Super AMOLED(INFO) display, and an 8 megapixel camera that can record 1080p HD video.

This review of the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX is heavily abridged since the device is identical to the original DROID RAZR in many aspects. I highlight only the differences and some basics in this story, and gloss over complete sections of functionality. For that reason, you should refer to the original Motorola DROID RAZR review for the details.

You'll find a video of the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX alongside of the DROID RAZR after the Table of Contents, below.
