This week, Realmac software previewed its upcoming Clear app for the iPhone. Normally, we don't cover software ahead of its release, but this particular to-do list app caught our eye because of its fresh take on list management and unique user interface.

The first thing that you notice with Clear is a lack of any menu buttons or surrounding interface when you open it up. You are just thrown right into your to-do list, which can be prioritized vertically (most important at top) and features darker colors at the top that progressively get lighter as you go down your list. Adding to-dos and managing the list is accomplished by pinches, swipes, and drags-and-drops, instead of the usual menu-based interfaces that we have seen before. Clear also supports multiple lists, so you can have a running list of grocery items in addition to your list of tasks that need to be completed.

It's not yet clear (see what I did there) if Clear will offer power-user features like recurring tasks or cloud syncing, but we look forward to taking it for a spin when it hits the iTunes App Store in the near future. In the meantime, check out the video demo provided by Realmac, and head over to Realmac's site to be notified when Clear is released.
