Google Maps for Android updated with 'night mode' for tunnels

Google has released a small update for its Google Maps app for Android smartphones and tablets that offers a new "night mode" feature that activates when traveling through tunnels. Many stand-alone GPS units have similar features that dim the display or change the color scheme to make it easier to read when in darker conditions. The new version of Google Maps for Android can be downloaded from the Android Market now.
