Bloomberg has rounded up 22 analyst estimates to come up with an average figure for how many Lumia smartphones have been shipped by Nokia to date. The number that Bloomberg landed on was 1.3 million - an impressive amount considering the Lumia line has only been on the market since mid-November.
The 22 analyst estimates ranged from 800,000 to 2 million units, with only one estimate landing at less than 1 million. Of course, the 1.3 million figure is only an estimate, as Nokia has not released any concrete number for how many Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 smartphones it has shipped to date. Also, it should be noted that smartphones shipped to retail channels is not the same as those sold to end users.
Nokia is due to release its Q4 2011 and year end financial results on Thursday of this week, so, with luck, we will get an official number of Lumia devices shipped that we can report on at that time.
