An untethered jailbreak for Apple's A5 processor-powered iOS 5.0.1 devices, the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S, was just made available for the first time yesterday. Use of the jailbreak application, which is called GreenPois0n, requires a Mac OS X computer, though versions for Windows and Linux are planned for the near future. The new jailbreak also requires that your device is running iOS 5.0.1 only. The jailbreak will be disabled if the device is later updated to iOS 5.0.2, according to the developers. Full details are available at the GreenPois0n website.
