While at CES last week I met up with Motorola to take a few photos of the company's new purple DROID RAZR for Verizon Wireless. The purple RAZR has the exact same specs as the original, except that it does not ship with an included 16GB microSD memory card to augment its 16GB of internal storage.
For giving up that card you get to pay $100 less, though. So it's certainly worth the sacrifice.
I'm not a real fan of purple (or pink), so I wasn't horribly impressed by this update. I expect that the white version will have a bit more universal appeal, and the new black version will be equally popular I imagine. But still, if purple is your thing, then this device should do it for you. The purple color looks like the same shade you find on purple anodized bike parts or carabiners used by climbers.
For me, personally, I'm plenty pleased with the gun metal gray DROID RAZR that I've been using for the past 10 weeks or so.
