The BlackBerry Curve 9370 is the latest mid-tier smartphone for Verizon Wireless to come from Research In Motion. It features world roaming capabilities and runs on BlackBerry OS 7, though an update to 7.1 is promised for the near future. Spec-wise, the 9370 features NFC support, a 5 megapixel camera, a 2.44-inch display, and, of course, a fine 4-row QWERTY keyboard for making quick work of messaging tasks.

RIM's new BlackBerry Curve 9370 for Verizon Wireless is a respectable enough phone, it just seems very dated. It's hard to get excited for a device that costs $100 after a mail-in rebate that has a non-touchscreen display that doesn't even measure 2.5 inches across.

Still, like most all Curve models, the 9370 has a very nice keyboard and an operating system that has razor focus on messaging tasks. It's very efficient in the hands of an experienced user, and the rest of the phone's functions are not that bad, either. This would have been a pretty hot phone a few years back.

But for 2012, we really can't recommend that you search out a device like this and buy it - even if you do want a hardware keyboard. This is the kind of device you pick up because your company requires it and you have no other choice. And motivations like that are certainly not going to turn RIM around...
