Apple rumored to be planning an iPad event for early February

Reports are starting to circulate that Apple is planning to host an iPad-related event in early February. According to Japanese site MacOtakara, it has been told by an Apple supplier as well as a source in the U.S. of the event and that it will be for the launch of the Apple iPad 3. Apple, to this point, has made no indication at all that it will host an event of any sort in February.

Apple held its iPad 2 launch event in the beginning of March of last year. The tablet started shipping less than two weeks later. [via MacDailyNews]
