Adobe has released updates for its Flash Player and AIR apps for the Android platform. The update for Flash Player 11.1 offers security patches and bug fixes, while AIR 3.1 gains compatibility with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in addition to the performance tweaks and bug fixes. Adobe has said that it is discontinuing development on Flash Player for mobile devices, but that it would continue to release security updates as needed, and that is apparently what this update addresses. Adobe Flash Player 11.1 and AIR 3.1 are free and available in the Android Market now.
