Owners of the ASUS Transformer Prime tablet were ecstatic last week when the company announced that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade was available ahead of schedule and was being delivered to users immediately. That excitement was tempered somewhat for a few users, as they received a rather innocuous error stating "Serial Number Not Found" when they tried to apply the upgrade. The error prevents the upgrade from completing, leaving the users on Android 3.2 Honeycomb. ASUS claims that it is aware of the problem, has been able to reproduce it, and is currently working on a fix. It is not known how many Transformer Prime tablets are affected by the problem, but some users report that performing a factory reset on the device has proven successful in side-stepping the issue.
