Verizon to launch Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX on January 26

Thanks to some super sleuthing from the folks at Droid-Life, its seems Motorola let the cat out of its own bag. At CES in Las Vegas this week, Motorola announced the new Android smartphone for Verizon Wireless but was very vague on launch date specifics and said it would be available in the coming weeks. According to their own website for the DROID RAZR MAXX, that date is January 26.

The ultra thin DROID RAZR MAXX claims the "longest battery life of any 4G smartphone" according to Motorola and is expected to offer up 21 hours of talk time before a recharge is required. The device's other features include a 1.2GHz dual-core processor to run Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread (ICS is expected soon after launch), and a qHD (540 x 960 pixel) Super AMOLED^(INFO) touchscreen display with a Kevlar rear cover on back. The DROID RAZR MAXX for Verizon will run $299.99 with a two-year service agreement.
