Boost Mobile has announced it will now offer the LG Marquee smartphone, a variant of the Optimus Black from LG. The Marquee offers Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The smartphone boasts a large 4-inch, WVGA (480 x 800 pixel) resolution NOVA touchscreen display, which offers a brightness of 700 nits and can be easily seen in direct, harsh sunlight. The Marquee is super thin at just 0.36-inches thick but still packs quite a punch in its feature set, which includes a single-core 1GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash on the back, and a 2 megapixel user facing camera for video chats. The phone also comes with 4GB of internal storage on-board.

The LG Marquee from Boost Mobile will go on sale starting January 23 for $279.99 and can be paired with a no-contract $55 Android Monthly Unlimited plan with Shrinkage that includes unlimited nationwide talk, messaging, and internet.
