Today at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Verizon announced a new BlackBerry messaging phone by RIM, the Curve 9370. The Curve 9370 touts global roaming features with support for both CDMA and GSM networks and Wi-Fi for use indoors.
The phone sports a 2.44-inch color display that sits above the typical QWERTY styled keyboard known best to BlackBerry users. An optical trackpad is also on-board for simple navigation. Other features include GPS support, Bluetooth connectivity, NFC capabilities, a 5-megapixel camera with flash for photos and video, and a micro-SD card slot for additional data storage.
The Curve 9370 for Verizon is available January 19 in-stores and online for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a qualifying two year service agreement. The 9370 runs BlackBerry 7 OS, but a bump to RIM's BlackBerry 7.1 operating system is expected in an upcoming software update soon.
