Vimeo has taken the wraps off of a suite of new mobile apps for its video service, which let users search for videos as well as shoot and upload clips to their accounts. Previously available solely for the iPhone, the new Vimeo apps can be downloaded for Android, Windows Phone 7.5, and the iPad.

The new apps for Android and Windows Phone 7.5 devices let users browse the full catalog of videos on Vimeo's network, comment on and 'like' videos, and add videos to their Watch Later queues. Users can also access their inbox, Watch Later list, and Liked videos right from their phone or tablet. The apps also give users full control over their accounts, including the ability to upload and replace videos, edit tags, titles, and descriptions, and share videos to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, WordPress, Email, and SMS.

The new app for the iPad expands on the iPhone version that was released back in March, 2011, and includes full HD streaming of video, an editor, and a browse-while-watching function.

The Android and Windows Phone versions of the Vimeo app should be available in their respective app stores very shortly, while the iPad app won't be out until later this month. [via The Verge]
