According to a tweet from its official Twitter account, U.S. Cellular plans to launch its first LTE devices this spring, starting with an LTE tablet in March. A smartphone with LTE capabilities is expected to follow in April. The carrier did not say which manufacturer would be producing the devices or how much they will cost. U.S. Cellular had previously stated that it will bring 4G LTE service to Wisconsin, Maine, Iowa, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas in early 2012, with further expansion planned throughout the year.
