Amazon moves over 4 million Kindles in December

Amazon has announced that December was quite a month for the e-tailer, as it was able to sell more than 1 million Kindle devices per week for the entire month leading up to the Christmas holiday. The company notes that this year was the best holiday season ever for the Kindle family, but it does not say how many of each particular Kindle model were sold. If we were the betting type, we would say that the Kindle Fire certainly played a part in Amazon's successes this year, as Amazon claims that it is the "#1 best-selling, most gifted, and most wished for product across the millions of items available on Amazon.com since its introduction 13 weeks ago."
