Samsung announced earlier today that it has shipped one million of its Galaxy Note smartphone/tablet hybrid devices in the roughly two months since the device became available for purchase.

The Galaxy Note features a massive 5.3-inch, Super AMOLED display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. It is powered by a dual-core, 1.4GHz processor and comes with a stylus to write directly on the giant screen.

Samsung offers the Galaxy Note in markets across the world, but the U.S. is not yet one of them. The company notes that sales are "on the rise" in Europe and Asia, including in France, Germany, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. A U.S. launch is expected to happen at some point next year.
